This deceased but higly regarded 20th century abstract painter and printmaker was born and educated in New York City. For many years, Vivian was an art teacher and Associate Director of the New York City Board of Education's Students Art League. She later became a full Professor and Head of the Art Department of Rutgers University's Newark, NJ campus. She was a member of the famous Bob Blackburn's Printmaking Workshop in New Tork City. Her art works have been widely exhibited posthumously and is in Hatch Billops, The Burgess Fine Arts Collection, and New York Public Schomberg Library in Harlem. Vivian was very involved with and lectured on arts in education instruction and national artists art groups, such as the National Artists Association.
